The gift of life on earth exposes man to one of its greatest assets — time. It is finite and cannot be regained. Its uniqueness makes it priceless compared to material possessions.
Let’s shift the poor perspective of ‘I don’t know how to get there’, ' I don’t know how to do this’, ‘I don’t have what it takes’. You may be right, but don’t justify yourself all the time. Look within and around you. You have it all!
It is evident that no person is without needs. Abraham Maslow’s hierarchy of needs outlines a five-tier model of human necessities, and everyone strives to meet these needs in any way possible. This could be the quest for improvement, stability or growth.
What if we focus on the actual cause rather than finding a reason that tends to justify the cause? Although our reasons may be genuine, at times, the constant justification of our failure to embark on a pursuit or complete a task has caused a lot of stagnation, setbacks, and unimprovement.
Something fascinating got my attention. It appears to be known but most people haven’t gotten a second thought about it. “Dreams without work accomplish nothing.”
Like a book, life comprises various chapters that shape and define a person’s journey. Each chapter unfolds different experiences, challenges and growth, presenting new opportunities and lessons.
A lot has been birthed, and a lot has been terminated. For one, it took an inner vision backed by understanding to execute an initiative, forgo the unnecessary, and stand firm amidst the challenges that arise.
Part of what we become stems from what we often do. They form the components of our identity.
I have seen and heard the results it produces. Some say that is how they are and what they are made of. It goes a long way to either uplift or destroy.
